Responsibilities

The Compliance Auditor provides company-wide audits ensuring process and procedure compliance. 

 

Primary Functions: 

  • Annually complete approximately 20 internal compliance audits at Service Centers across the Midwest; requiring travel up to 50%
  • Complete additional Maintenance and Corporate audits as identified, potentially including various financial based audits
  • Update audit programs annually to reflect changes in Company policies
  • Manage all aspects of each audit (workload, budget, etc.)
  • Prepare findings to be presented to management
  • Coordinate presentations to communicate findings and results
  • Assist in the annual Service Center Audit review process
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of established policies, procedures, operations, and internal controls in achieving Dayton Freight’s mission and goals
  • System Administrator for the Oracle Fusion Cloud system and primary contact for third party support and service requests
  • Support daily Oracle inquiries 
  • Identify features to implement using Oracle Cloud quarterly release documentation
  • Train Oracle Cloud end users on newly implemented features
  • Monitor the Oracle Identity Cloud Service for security alerts and upcoming updates
  • Update the Employee Intranet for the Accounting Department
  • Perform special projects as assigned
  • Maintain strong, professional relationships with Corporate Departments and Service Center personnel
  • Continuously improve and make recommendations for process improvements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar or 3+ years of related, professional experience
  • Knowledge of state and federal tax form processes
  • Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organization skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Required Travel: up to 50%
