Inspectors are responsible for verifying weight, calculating the density and properly classifying shipments tendered by our customers. All inspections completed are validated by following the DFL Rules Tariff and the provisions of the National Motor Freight Classification (NMFC). When discrepancies are found by the inspector, an updated entry with the accurate information is entered into the computer system and a certificate is assigned to recover the revenue that is due to DFL for the shipment.
