Revenue Accounting Dentention Specialists are responsible for determining and applying detention charges.

• Analyze freight bills to determine appropriate detention charges
• Utilize tools for calculation of detention while adhering to rules and contracts
• Respond to customer disputes on detention charge calculation
• Audit accounts and resolve problems
• Respond to internal and external customer’s inquiries via phone or email
• Continuously improve processes

• 2 years of related accounting, logistics or transportation experience

• Associates Degree in Accounting is a plus, but not required

• Experience in transportation highly recommended, but not required

• Strong organization skills

• Attention to detail

• Excellent written and oral communication

• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment

• Strong teamwork, initiative, and customer service skills

• Ability to identify and manage project and continuous improvement initiatives
